Another brick and mortar bites the dust.
Charming Charlie, a jewelry and accessories retailer with store in 38 states, is throwing in the towel. The national chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Thursday and announced plans to shutter all 261 of its stores.
The company’s decision to call it quits comes after a failed attempt to save itself last year when it filed for bankruptcy and closed 100 stores.
Charming Charlie’s closure is the latest in 7,000 brick-and-mortar fatalities so far this year. North Carolina and South Carolina have 13 stores combined.
Its last day of business will be August 31st.
